So why do I need a Board Certified Lactation Consultant?

While an experienced friend or family member, co-worker, or acquaintance from the gym might have the best intentions when offering advice to a struggling new mama, they do not have the finely-tuned skill set of a Lactation Consultant who carries the credential IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant).
